Starting in 2024, in honor of the 2024 Summer Olympics, STEMducate has launched a new initiative to connect students with the exciting world of sports through STEM. By making videos and visiting Physical Education classrooms, we demonstrate how science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are integral to athletic performance and sports technology. This initiative not only amplifies our outreach, but inspires a new generation of sports enthusiasts to explore STEM.
Basketball & STEM
Three STEMducate members visited Mountainside Middle School to talk to sixth grade PE students about the importance of STEM and how it is relevant to basketball. The students learned about kinematics, gravity, and force among other crucial concepts. Check out the photos below!
